Fire destroys Birdsnest home

Firefighters were dispatched to a residence in Birdsnest early Friday. 

Units from Nassawadox, Eastville, Cheriton, Cape Charles, Exmore, Painter, Tasley and Onancock were called to the scene of a residence at 9189 Terrywoods Lane in Birdsnest at approximately 3:45 am.   

The house was fully involved when the first units arrived.  Firefighters remained on scene for over 2 hours.
