Finney named honorary chair of 60th Annual Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Ball

The Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is proud to announce that plans are underway for the 60th Annual Auxiliary Ball, returning this year to the Historic Vaux Hall Farm in Melfa on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 6:00 PM.

This signature black-tie affair is being led by Ball Co-Chairs Mrs. Anne Kyle Doughty and Mrs. Brittany Lewis, who are thrilled to announce Dr. Kristie Finney as this year’s Honorary Chair.

Over a 28-year career, Dr. Finney has applied her keen eye for excellence beginning in the Laboratory, advancing through leadership in Quality and Safety, and now guiding the hospital as its President.

An avid learner, Dr. Finney holds degrees from the College of William and Mary, University of Florida, Duke University and Virginia Commonwealth University. She is deeply honored to serve her friends and neighbors by leading the hospital’s talented and dedicated team members who share her passion for exceptional care. Born and raised on the Eastern Shore, Dr. Finney is now raising her family here and spends as much time as she can on or near the water.

The 60th anniversary will be celebrated as a diamond-themed event, honoring six decades of legacy, resilience, and community impact. As the Auxiliary’s premier annual fundraiser, the Ball continues a legacy that began in the 1920s with a group of visionary women who raised $5,000 to help build the Shore’s first hospital. Today, the Auxiliary includes dedicated individuals who work tirelessly to fund nursing scholarships, continuing education, and special training opportunities for hospital staff, as well as to provide critical items requested by the hospital’s needs committee. Every dollar raised directly enhances the health and wellness of our Eastern Shore community.
