Festive Fridays returns to Cape Charles this Friday

Cape Charles is known for rolling out the red and green carpet around the holidays, and 2024 is no exception.

Presented by Cape Charles Main Street, this year’s Festive Fridays series features an exciting schedule of four free and family-friendly every Friday evening starting this Friday, November 29 through December 20. Simply head to the town’s bustling center along Mason Avenue, Strawberry and Peach Streets between 5 and 8 p.m. on Fridays during the holiday season to take part in the festivities.

The theme for Festive Fridays 2024 is Cape Charles Winter Wonderland perfectly representing the magical, celebratory nature of this beloved annual event. From live entertainment, great shopping, restaurant specials and snow to activities and seasonal events, there’s something for everyone at Festive Fridays. Make it a weekend and book a room at one of the lovely hotels or inns. Rent a home in the Historic District or Bay Creek neighborhoods to accommodate the whole family.

Festive Fridays features a lineup of free and family-friendly holiday films at the Historic Palace Theatre including a matinee showing of The Polar Express at 3 p.m. on November 29 for the younger kids. Carol singing, face painting, balloon twisting, even magic will be scattered around the shopping district during Festive Fridays. And the highlight for young and old alike – Santa and his Mrs. manage to fit in visits to Cape Charles every Friday throughout the holiday season.
