The Eastern Shore of Virginia Community Foundation (ESVCF) has updated its grant programs, including the launch of a pilot Fall Small Grants Program in 2025 to address urgent community needs and support nonprofit growth. This new initiative will provide seed funding and capacity-building resources for grassroots and emerging organizations.

Additionally, ESVCF has refined its Spring Competitive Grants Program to better align with community priorities, continuing to fund capital projects and key initiatives in arts and culture, child and family welfare, economic stability, education, environment, and health and wellness.

Since 2004, ESVCF has awarded $4.5 million to local nonprofits, funding projects such as Habitat for Humanity’s construction equipment, United Way’s computer program, and ESCADV’s Hope Harbor campus. “These grants empower nonprofits to expand their reach and better serve the Eastern Shore,” said Executive Director Monika Bridgforth.

Nonprofits interested in the Spring Competitive Grants Program must apply by March 1, 2025. For details on updated guidelines and eligibility, visit www.esvcf.org or contact Monika Bridgforth at [email protected].
