
Laura Goga, Exalted Ruler of the Onancock Elks Lodge, has announced the recipients of the lodge’s annual academic scholarships for 2025. A total of seven graduating seniors from across the Eastern Shore were selected for the honors, each receiving a $1,000 scholarship to support their continued education.
Among the awards were two Thomas C. Northam Memorial Scholarships, presented to Brandon Giddens and Leah Smith in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement and community involvement.
The remaining five Onancock Elks Scholarships were awarded to the following students:
JaKaiya Borden – Northampton High School
Katherine Arnold – Broadwater Academy
Virginia Tyler – Nandua High School
Madison Fluhart – Arcadia High School
Kaley Taylor – Chincoteague High School
Wesley Miller of Holly Grove Christian School was also named a scholarship recipient. The Tangier Combined School had no college-bound graduate this year.
The Onancock Elks Lodge continues its commitment to supporting the academic and leadership potential of youth across the Shore through its annual scholarship program.
