Every year, over Thanksgiving weekend, the Artisans Guild of Eastern Shore Virginia showcases the work of its member artisans in a self-guided show-and-sale event. This Holiday Open Studio Tour, held since 2002, is the flagship event for the Guild. The tour takes visitors off the beaten path, guiding them along scenic routes to home studios, a vineyard, and historic locations between the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
The tour has become a beloved holiday tradition on the Eastern Shore, offering a fun and festive opportunity to appreciate local culture and share it with friends or visiting family members. Nearly 50 Guild artisans will be displaying and selling their handmade creations at 18 different stops, where they’ll share their inspiration and techniques with visitors.
It’s a wonderful way to explore the beautiful Eastern Shore countryside, kick off the holiday season with unique shopping, and support the local artisan community.
