The National Weather Service has downgraded Dorion to a Category 1 storm.   That could make a small difference in the wind speeds here on the Shore.  Rains will start to pick up in the early morning hours from South to North on the Eastern Shore.  Heavy rains should arrive at approximately 6 a.m. in the Cape Charles area moving north and covering much of the area by 9 a.m.  They’re still looking at 2-4 inches in Accomack County and 3-5 inches in Northampton.   Sustained winds between 25 and 40 mph  gusting to 50 with the strongest winds on the Atlantic beaches will occur between 9 and 2 p.m.  Later in the afternoon the storm will move off.  Some flooding is expected on the bayside during the afternoon high tide from 3 until 7 p.m.   We’ll update this should there be any change.

Tropical Storm warnings remain in place for the entire Eastern Shore.
