
Accomack County voted overwhelmingly Republican in Tuesday’s election. Former and future President Donald Trump won easily with 9,479 votes, compared to 7,333 for Vice President Kamala Harris.
In the Virginia Senate race in Accomack, Republican Hung Cao received 9,174 votes, while incumbent Democrat Tim Kaine received 7,516.
In the House of Representatives race, incumbent Congresswoman Jen Kiggans won decisively in Accomack, earning 9,215 votes, while Democrat Missy Cotter Smasal received 6,909.
Northampton County, however, showed a different result. In Northampton, Vice President Kamala Harris received 3,547 votes, while Donald Trump earned 3,132 votes.
In the Senate race in Northampton, incumbent Tim Kaine was the winner with 3,625 votes, defeating Republican challenger Hung Cao, who received 3,002 votes.
In the Congressional race in Northampton, Missy Cotter Smasal narrowly defeated Jen Kiggans. Cotter Smasal received 3,341 votes, while Kiggans received 3,274.
