The 10th Annual O’Nancock St. Patrick’s Parade

On Saturday, March 15, the town of Onancock, Virginia celebrates the 10th Annual O’Nancock St. Patrick’s Parade. It is a day filled with small town America celebration, including the widely anticipated annual parade, shopping, dining, and music. Visit Onancock restaurants, galleries and shops all day. This year’s theme is, “Lucky Onancock.” The always popular Classic Car and Tractor exhibition will precede the parade starting at noon. The Parade starts at 3 p.m. on Market Street. St. Patrick, his color guard, Pipe and Drum Corps, floats, and more are part of the parade. The volunteers of the Onancock Business and Civic Association (OBCA) will once again support this event. Carlo Balmoria Pop Up Performance

Cokesbury Cultural Center is offering a “POP-UP” performance on March 15th at 7 pm. This opportunity to showcase Carlo came up quickly and we are happy to support the young performer. It is not part of the Concert Series we offer.

Carlo Balmoria is a pianist born and raised in Virginia. He currently studies at Boston University with Andrius Žlabys, where he is working towards a Bachelors of Music in Piano Performance. At the university he enjoys performing locally and working with fellow musicians, whether it be chamber music or newly written works. Carlo began his musical journey on the violin at age 8, but at the age of 13 decided to focus fully on the piano, which he has studied ever since. He has attended Summer festivals at institutions such as the Brevard Music Center, where he was a finalist in their 2022 Piano Competition, and he has played in masterclass for pianists such as Jeremy Denk, Norman Krieger, James Giles, and more. Outside of music, Carlo enjoys running, going to the gym, and watching too many movies. As a member of Delta Kappa Alpha, a professional cinematic fraternity, he works on student-run productions in the Boston area.
