
Indoor Soccer at Broadwater Academy
Paul Nolz, former soccer coach of Nandua High School will be hosting an indoor soccer league starting January 18 and concluding by the end of March. The league has three divisions, Elementary school (ages 7 to 10) and Middle School, ages 11 to 14 (or through the eighth grade) and high school. All matches will be played on Saturday afternoons in the gym at Broadwater Academy. There are no practices and the games last for one hour. Hospital Auxiliary Third Annual Fire & Ice Party – Postponed until February 22 Due to Weather
This event has been postponed to February 22 due to weather. Once the sparkle of the holidays is over, the Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital Auxiliary offers another event to break up the winter blahs while waiting for spring to arrive.

An afternoon with The Marquis de Lafayette
The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation presents “An afternoon with The Marquis de Lafayette” as portrayed by Mark Schneider, renowned historian and Nation Builder for Colonial Williamsburg. This event will take place at the historic Palace Theatre in Cape Charles on Sunday, February 9th at 3:00 PM.
Come and hear The Marquis regale us all with his dramatic story and the American battle for freedom.
Tickets $20/adult and $10/student can be purchased online at www.northamptonhistoricpreservationsociety.com or at the door.
Proceeds will benefit the Northampton Historic Preservation Society and the 1907 Jail Restoration fund.
Mark Schneider has been portraying the Marquis de Lafayette for over twenty years. He has also portrayed other historical figures such as Napolean Bonaparte, General Rochambeau and Colonel Banastre Tarleton.
