3rd Annual ESVA Decoy Show
The 3rd Annual Eastern Shore of Virginia Decoy Show will be Saturday, February 1 at the Oyster Farm at Kings Creek in Cape Charles. Friday from 12-5 and Saturday from 9-4.
Come out to see decoys, decoys, decoys as well as other artwork.
$10 to park, no admission fee.
There will be a silent auction. Proceeds will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Barrier Islands Center and the Cape Charles Museum.
Indoor Soccer at Broadwater Academy
Paul Nolz, former soccer coach of Nandua High School will be hosting an indoor soccer league starting January 18 and concluding by the end of March. The league has three divisions, Elementary school (ages 7 to 10) and Middle School, ages 11 to 14 (or through the eighth grade) and high school. All matches will be played on Saturday afternoons in the gym at Broadwater Academy. There are no practices and the games last for one hour. Hannah Annis’ CPR CLASSES… The only regularly scheduled BLS and CPR First Aid classes on the Eastern Shore. Held at the Tasley Vol Fire Co. every first and last Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 pm and the first Saturday of every month from 9:30-11:30 am.

Eastern Shore Ducks Unlimited Chapter Wetlands Conservation Dinner
The Eastern Shore Ducks Unlimited Chapter has been re-launched and will be having its annual Wetlands Conservation Dinner and Auction at the Island House Restaurant in Wachapreague on Feb. 1 from 5-9 p.m. featuring a prime rib dinner and all the extras.
There will be both live and silent auctions that will host a diverse collection of local artists’ works, including many decoys carved by renowned carvers like Grayson Chesser, Mark McNair and Billy Crockett, as well as art from Jaimie Phillips, Miriam Riggs and Marsh Ryon and many more.
There will also be sponsor-only and open raffles with chances to win Yeti products, Ducks Unlimited items and other outdoorsman merchandise from various outfitters.
Individual tickets are still available for $100 as well as both four- and eight-person option sponsor tables. Tickets are available for purchase online on the Ducks Unlimited website, Facebook and at the door if tickets are still available.
Call Nelson White at 609-848-4066 for in-person ticket sales prior to the event or for any questions. In-person ticket sales will be available at the Island House Restaurant a week before the event. All proceeds go to conserving, restoring and managing wetlands conservation and their habitats in Virginia.
