The Smith Chapel Methodist Chruch Thrift Store will be closed on Saturday, November 9.

They will be open again on Saturday, November 16 from 8 am to 11 am with a bake sale in the social hall.

Chincoteague Library to Host Free “Preventive Care Screening and Immunization Event”

The Chincoteague Island Library is pleased to announce a free event titled “Preventative Care Screening & Immunizations,” featuring Deana Ralph, R.N., Case Management Specialist for Eastern Shore Rural Health. This session is set to take place on November 9 at 2:00 PM.

Attendees will gain valuable insights into the importance of preventative care, the latest immunization recommendations, and essential health screenings. Deana Ralph brings extensive experience in case management and rural health, making this a must-attend event for anyone interested in enhancing their health knowledge.

Chili-Cook-Off

The Craddockville United Methodist Church Men’s Club is hosting a Chili-Cook-Off on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 4 to 6 p.m in the fellowship hall of the Craddockville UMC at 33464 Boston Road, Belle Haven. There is no fee to enter the chili cook-off contest or attend.

Chili will be offered first in tastings and then as an entree. The judging will be done by tasters through their donations to the chili preparers. Salads, condiments and other food items will be provided.

Proceeds from the event will go to support campers for a week at Camp Occohannock on the Bay in 2025.

Spaghetti Dinner

There will be a Spaghetti Dinner at Melfa UMC, 19444 Main Street in Melfa, Va., Saturday, November 9th from 4 to 6 PM.  Consists of Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Salad, Garlic Bread and Dessert.  Take out only.  For orders call 757-787-3925 or 757-710-6306 or 757-787-3219.

There will be a Hymn Sing Sunday, November 10th at 2 PM at Belle Haven United Methodist Church. 35446 Belle Haven Road, in Belle Haven.  All beterans will be honored!
