Birding Eastern Shore Presents: Mutton Hunk Fen Natural Area Preserve
FIELD TRIP HIGHLIGHTS: Join veteran birders Maggie Long and Joette Borzik for a walk through the diverse habitats of this Natural Area Preserves’ ever-changing meadow, marsh, and creek habitats. We will be looking for migrating warblers, raptors, terns, herons, egrets, and possible early wintering ducks.

Community Emergency Preparedness Day
Stop by this weekend at the COMMUNITY EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS DAY, Saturday September 28, from 10-2 at Four Corners Plaza in Onley. September is National Emergency Preparedness month and as always, best to be prepared. There will be equipment on site from Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, Eastern Shore Rural Health, ANEC, Northampton and Accomack County Emergency Management, ESVA 911 Communications Center, and more. The Eastern Shore Health District will be providing FREE flu vaccines for those 18 years and over. FREE giveaways. Come on out!

On the corner of Main and Bank, we will be holding a plant clinic where our expert Master Gardeners will be on hand to diagnose and provide valuable advice to help your plants thrive.
Explore our plant sale where we will have a variety of plants, suitable for planting this fall, available for purchase. We will also have some planter pots and other gently loved gardening equipment available for purchase at super-low prices. It’s an opportunity to take home a piece of nature’s beauty for your own garden while receiving expert advice.
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting, our friendly Master Gardeners are here to share their knowledge, tips, and tricks to help your garden flourish.

Gates open at 11:30 for a day full of CASH, entertainment, food, and fun! Entertainment starts at Noon with the band GATORHEAD playing until 4pm, cash prize giveaways every 15 minutes for 4hrs & the $5,000 Grand Prize drawing at 4pm!
