The Calvary United Methodist Church will be having a multi-family yard sale at the church, 21475 Hopkins Road in Parksley, on Saturday, September 14 from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

They will also be serving breakfast, sausage biscuits for $3.00, hashbrown for $1.00 and coffee and juice for $1.00.

Lunch will be clam fritter sandwiches for $8.00, hot dogs for $2.00, chips 50 cents and tea, coffee for lemonade for $1.

2024 Plein Air Art Event

September 7 through September 14 We look forward to Plein Air Week each September, This year, 62 fine artists from the Mid-Atlantic area and beyond gather locally to paint outdoors on Chincoteague and Assateague Islands. You may see them painting near you! Quick Draw Contest – Thursday, September 12
Robert Reed Waterfront Park from 12:30 to 4 pm Open to all local artists (even those not participating in the Plein Air event). $5 to enter. Register in person at 12:30 pm at the pavilion. Paint from 1 to 3 pm in the surrounding area. Judging and sale will take place from 3 to 4 pm.  It is recommended (but not required) that your piece be framed. The Eastern Shore Anglers Club will be holding their Kids Free Fishing Day this Sunday, September 15th.  The event will be held at the Saxis public pier. Registration begins at 12:30. Fishing will begin at 1:00 and end at 2:30.

Everything will be provided to have a fun time Fishing, with a meal provided afterwards. This will be limited to 50 Children due to safety reasons.

ACCA TO HOLD CRUISE IN AT BLUECROW ANTIQUE MALL

The ACCA will hold a car show/cruise in Sunday from 2 until 4 p.m. at Bluecrow Antique Mall Rt. 13 in Painter.

Benefit Concert for Northampton Middle/High School Choir

Please join us in Hungars Church at 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 15^th as world renown bass-baritone Alvy Powell and soprano Dr. Caroline Gibson (Powell) perform a benefit concert for the Northampton Middle/High School concert choir! The program will also feature Dwayne Clark, fresh from Broadway!

There will be a reception in the Parish House following the concert.
