National Hard Crab Derby

The Crisfield National Hard Crab Derby is a favorite annual Labor Day weekend event on the Maryland Eastern Shore, a unique crab themed event that includes crab races, crab cooking and picking contests, crafts, live entertainment, beauty pageants, parade, fireworks and more. Known by many as “The Crab Capital of the World”, Crisfield is home to many seafood restaurants and the Somers Cove Marina, one of the largest marinas on the East Coast. 

Car and Truck Show

Temperannceville Lodge 121 together with the Order of the Eastern Star Temperanceville Chapter #88 are hosting their second annual car and truck show.

Our planned Car Show for last month was cancelled due to the weather – Here’s the information on the reschedule Car Show:

Saturday August 31, 2024

Registration starts at 9AM

Show is from 10AM to 2 PM

Prizes will be awarded

Food and Drinks will be available.

Location:  Masonic Lodge, 10268 Lankford Hwy, Temperanceville, VA

Pulled Pork Bar-B-Que Dinner

There will be a pulled pork Bar-B-Que at the VFW Post 2296 in Tasley, Virginia, Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 5 until 7 PM.  All you can eat!  Take out or eat in.

Menu:  Pulled Pork Bar-B-Que, homemade baked beans, homemade cole slaw, dessert and beverage.  Everyone is invited to attend.  Cost $12.00 per person.  Hope to see you!

Parksley Vol. Fire Department Labor Day Chicken Barbecue 

The Parksley Vol. Fire Department will have its annual Chicken Barbecue at the old Wayside Park on Rt. 13 in Parksley. Dinners will be available. Saturday  and Monday as long as supplies last.
