There are a lot of cool events going on this weekend on the Eastern Shore

On Saturday:

 

The 2nd Annual Parksley Golden Spike Railroad Festival will be held in Downtown Parksley from 10 a.m. until 2 pm. There will be rides, a zip line, car show, crafts, shopping, live music by live bands, food , games, bounce houses, a gun raffle, Repunzel and much more.

 

 

Holly Grove Christian School will be hosting their annual Fall Festival today at Holly Grove from 9 am. Until 2 p.m.

 

The 4th annual Northampton Agricultural County Fair will be held at Northampton Middle School at Machipongo .   There will be a variety of activities including a Pie   and Sweet Potato Biscuit Baking Contest,   Skillet Throwing Contest, Kid’s Pedal Tractor Contest, Roll-a-Keg Contest, Antique Tractors, ANEC Lineman Climbing Demonstration, Educational Booths and Demonstrations,   Food Vendors, and Kids Events featuring a petting zoo, face painting , balloon animals, a pumpkin painting contest, bounce house, hayrides, and a corn box with toys.   These activities require a wristband for $10.

 

Cape Charles Catholic Church will conduct a Blessing of the Pets at 11:00 a.m.

 

There will be a Dinner Sale at New Allen Memorial A.M.E. Church at 11:00 a.m. For $10 you get Ribs, Green Beans, Macaroni and Cheese, Corn on the Cob, Roll and Cake.

 

There will be a Gowns and Gloves Social Event at the old Hare Valley School at 5432 Bayside Road in Exmore at 4 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Virginia-Maryland Baptist Association.

 

The Eastville will have Big Bucks Bingo at the Eastville Vol. Fire Department’s Bingo Hall at 5:00 p.m.

 

International Observe the Moon Night will be held tonight at the NASA Visitors Center on Rt. 175 near Wattsville. The event will be held from 7-9:30 pm. The public is invited to learn about the Earth’s lunar neighbor. The event is an international event to encourage appreciation, observation, and understanding of our Moon and its connection to NASA planetary science and exploration. This event connects scientists, educators, and lunar enthusiasts from around the world.

 

 

On Sunday:

 

There will be a Gospel Explosion at the New Allen Memorial AME Church at 3 p.m. Come our to see and hear Eastern Shore Talent.

 

The Virginia Chorale will perform at Hungars Episcopal Church in Bridgetown from 4 until 5 p.m.

 

Walk with a Doc will be held at 4 p.m. at Market St. United Methodist Church in Onancock. This event is sponsored by Eastern Shore Rural Health.
