On Saturday Touch a Truck will be held at Nandua High School from 8:30 until 11:30 a.m. Kids can explore giant trucks, earth movers, ambulances, fire trucks, and other massive mobile machines. The event is a fund raiser for the Nandua High School Hi Y Club. The cost is $5 for children 1 year and older , parents are free.
The Eastern Shore of Virginia Master Gardeners will be having their Fall Plant Sale to be held on Saturday from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm, at Blue Crow Antique Mall, 32124 Lankford Highway, Painter. Many beautiful and healthy shrubs, bulbs and perennials provided by local nurseries and business organizations will be available. Additionally a free native plant will be given to anyone that makes a purchase.
Camp Occohannock’s 60th birthday will celebrate with a Barbecue lunch, music, activities, silent auction and camp tours beginning at 1:00 pm.
On Sunday at 2:30 pm, there will be a Constitution Day Parade in downtown Parksley. Everyone is encouraged to attend and wear red, white and blue.
At 3:00 pm, the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church will host a Homecoming Service. Pastor Greta Belote will be the guest pastor.
At 4:00 pm the Eastern Shore Rural Health System, Inc. is sponsoring a Walk with a Doc starting at the Market St. Methodist Church at 4 pm. Walk with a Doc is a non-profit organization that promotes walking as a fun, accessible and community oriented way to exercise.
