Chincoteague Students Donate Books to Expand Library’s Young Adult Collection

Students at Chincoteague Combined School recently collected books to help grow the Young Adult collection at the Chincoteague Island Library. The project was led by rising senior Meredith Wright, whose love of reading inspired her to give back to the community.

Meredith’s love of books came from her family reading to her and attending Tales 4 Tots at the library. “It was there that I discovered that every book held a new adventure,” she shared. “I was overwhelmed by the support and generosity of everyone who donated,” Meredith said. “I hope these books help others discover stories they love and adventures waiting on every page.”

The Chincoteague Island Library is grateful for this generous donation that will expand the Young Adult collection. These books will soon be in circulation, helping young readers find their next great adventure.
