The Chincoteague Island Library is excited to announce the Chincoteague Island Writers Group, led by Krista Veneziano. Krista is an experienced poetry and creative nonfiction writer and facilitator who brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the group. These sessions welcome writers of all styles and levels to share their work and receive positive feedback in a supportive community.
The 1-hour group sessions will be held twice a month at the Chincoteague Island Library at 7:00 PM. The sessions are free, and no preregistration is required. The writing prompts are: December 3: Making Waves, December 10: Adventure, January 7: Crossroads, January 14: Flight. Each session allows writers to read a piece inspired by the prompt or any recent work they wish to share. The suggested piece length is 800 words or less.
Teresa Wright, Chincoteague Island Library Manager states, “We are thrilled to introduce this new adult program to our community. The Chincoteague Island Writers Group provides an opportunity for local writers to connect, share their work, and grow together. This program will be a valuable addition to our library’s offerings and a great way to bring people together.”
