The Chincoteague Island Library is offering a $1,000 scholarship for local students graduating in spring 2025. Eligible applicants include high school seniors or home-schooled students who live in Chincoteague or attend Chincoteague High School. The scholarship is to be used for tuition at a four-year or two-year college, trade school, or apprentice program. A current library card is required.
Applications and a letter of recommendation must be submitted by May 1, 2025, to the library or the guidance office at Chincoteague High School. Applications are available at both locations.
The scholarship recipient will be announced at the Senior Awards Night at Chincoteague High School on May 14, 2025.
The Chincoteague Island Library Board of Directors is pleased to support local students and encourages all eligible students to apply.
