The Eastern Shore of Virginia Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Dinner on Wednesday evening at the Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club.
“It was a truly wonderful event, celebrating the Chamber’s remarkable success and contributions to our community over the past 71 years,” said Executive Director Robert Sabbatini.
During the evening’s opening welcome, Sabbatini thanked the Board of Directors for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. “The Board of Directors leadership and guidance has been invaluable to the ESVA Chamber of Commerce” he remarked.
This year’s dinner was filled with community as we gathered at the Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club to honor the achievements of our members and the exceptional individuals who have significantly impacted our community. We are thrilled to announce and congratulate the winners of this year’s awards:
– Distinguished Service: Kristin Webb
– Chairman’s Award: Will Russell
– Small Businessperson of the Year: Forest Drummond
– Outstanding Citizen of the Year: Beth Sharpley
– Young Entrepreneur of the Year: Henry Smith
The evening began with a delightful reception featuring networking and cocktails, setting the stage for a memorable night of celebration. Following a delicious dinner, the awards ceremony highlighted the incredible dedication and achievements of our members. Each award recipient has demonstrated exceptional commitment, leadership, and service to the Eastern Shore of Virginia community.
The ESVA Chamber of Commerce also recognized outgoing Chair, Ace Seybolt for all his hard work over the last two years. He certainly made his mark on the Chamber, and the Chamber greatly appreciates all his dedication. Jennifer Annis will be the new Chair, and is continuing with the extraordinary vision already in place for the Chamber. New Board members, Susie Charnock, Eric Hawkins, Ursula Deitch, and Butch Williamson were inducted by Judge W. Revell Lewis.
“As we reflect on the past 71 years, we are filled with pride and gratitude for the unwavering support of our members. Your contributions have been instrumental in making our Chamber a beacon of success and a pillar of our community,” Sabbatini continued. “We look forward to continuing to serve you and to fostering growth and collaboration in the years to come.”
