The Virginia State Police have identified the lone occupant of a vehicle which crashed into the woods on Route 13 in Cheriton this morning.
The accident occurred on the northbound lanes of Rt 13, north of Cobb Station Road in Cheriton around 9:03 AM, according to State Police Sgt. Michelle Anaya.
The driver of a 2017 Ford Fiesta, 85 year old Nadine Marie Good, lost control of her vehicle, ran off the roadway, striking a culvert and then a tree. The vehicle overturned and the Good was ejected from the passenger side of the vehicle. Good succumbed to her injuries at the scene. No indication of speed or alcohol as being contributing factors.
Next of kin has been made for 85 year old Nadine Marie Good of Mill Street, Cape Charles, Virginia.
