In a Facebook post, the Town of Cape Charles reported that the Cape Charles Police Department, with assistance from the Northampton Sheriff’s Department and Virginia State Police, has arrested 46-year-old Jamar Jones of Accomack County in connection with the first-degree murder of Calvin Cummings. The incident occurred on February 18th.
Jones, who is described in the Facebook post as a black male, is currently being held without bond at the Northampton Regional Jail. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
