The Eastern Shore Broadband Authority hopes to connect more homes to hard wired Broadband Service. Robert Bridgham, Broadband Authority Director told the Accomack County Board of Supervisors Wednesday night that the groups hopes to provide service to all of the Shore’s incorporated towns including Tangier in the near future. Bridgham also said the authority plans to extend broadband service to customers who live down the necks in the not to distant future.
Bridgham said the Broadband Authority has applied to the Virginia Resources Authority for the issuance of a 10 year $5 million bond to supplement it’s capital reserves for the project
Bridgham told the supervisors that he hopes to eventually provide hard wired broadband service to 70% of Eastern Shore residences.
