Beach Hazard Statement issued by the National Weather Service for Eastern Shore’s seaside beaches

A Beach Hazard Statement has been issued for the ocean beaches of the Eastern Shore Wednesday.

Large breaking waves and rip currents expected on the Atlantic Beaches of Maryland and Virginia.

In Virginia, The Atlantic Beaches of Northampton and Accomack Counties, and Virginia Beach..From Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.

Breaking waves of 4 to 5 feet will result in rough surf conditions and a high risk of rip currents.

Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
