A Beach Hazards Statement is in effect for the Eastern Shore’s seaside ocean beaches Saturday.
Large breaking waves and dangerous rip currents are expected at the ocean beaches in Maryland and in Accomack and Northampton Counties.
In Virginia, Virginia Beach, From Saturday morning through Saturday evening.
Breaking waves of 4 to 5 feet will result in rough surf conditions and a high risk of rip currents. Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
