Salisbury, MD  – Avery Hall Insurance Group and The Selective Insurance Group Foundation joined forces to support the positive efforts of the United Way of Virginia’s Eastern Shore through a $1000 grant. The Selective Insurance Group Foundation is a philanthropic affiliate of Selective Insurance Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SIGI).

“Avery Hall Insurance Group is deeply committed to community involvement and support of local non-profit organizations. The United Way of Virginia’s Eastern Shore is an outstanding organization that has aided over 150 charities and touched thousands of lives during their 25 years of operation,”  said Joseph Gast, President, Avery W. Hall Insurance Agency, Inc.

The grant represents a $500 donation from Avery Hall, matched by a $500 grant from The Selective Insurance Group Foundation. The grant will help the United Way of Virginia’s Eastern Shore effort to allocate funds to organizations across the shore that help promote health, education, and financial stability for all community members in Virginia’s Eastern Shore. The United Way of Virginia’s Eastern Shore tirelessly works to combat these social issues by actively searching for new ways to solve problems and inspiring others to join them.

“At Selective, Response is everything ® … and this includes responding to the communities where we live and work to give back and help those in need. Together with Avery Hall Insurance Group, we are proud to support the United Way of Virginia’s Eastern Shore and its efforts to make a difference in the community,” said Chuck Musilli, Senior Vice President, Distribution Strategies, and Selective.
