A line crew from ANEC recently returned home after helping victims of Helena in South Carolina.
Jake Parker, George Floyd, Tyler Combs, Jason Blake and Jacob Baldwin spent over a week helping rebuild portions of Little River’s system after Helene brought massive damage to their area.
When storms wreak havoc causing widespread power interruption, electric co-ops provide extra workers to expedite repairs needed to restore power. In the mid nineties, the Eastern Shore was hit with a massive ice storm on Christmas Day. Co-ops from much of the surrounding areas arrived to assist ANEC in getting power restored to hundreds of customers affected by the ice on the lines.
