A Nassawadox man pleaded guilty Tuesday in Northampton Circuit Court to possessing 16 boxes of ammunition after being convicted of a felony.
Twenty-nine-year-old Reginald Levant Chavous, who is now on taking medicine for schizophrenia, admitted to committing the crime at the Budget Inn on June 12. He did not possess a gun.
Chavous could be sentenced to up to five years in prison. A plea bargain called for him to get a midpoint of the sentencing guidelines. A criminal history and guidelines were ordered. Sentencing was set for Jan. 5. He was remanded to jail.
