At Wednesday’s meeting, the Accomack Board of Supervisors received a report from Stewart Hall Director of Public Works and Facilities on the progress on proposed revisions to the general operating guidelines for the Storm Drainage and Ditch Maintenance  Policy Statement.

The new guidelines call for giving property owners the option to grant access to their property for four years.  There are some easements issued in the past that are perpetual. Supervisor Crockett asked if the property owners who have granted a perpetual easement could also have the four year option instead.  Hall said that that could be done and that letters will go out to those property owners.

The Board voted to authorize Hall to offer the four year option.
