The new superintendent of Accomack County Public Schools is making her rounds to several schools for “Meet and Greet” sessions with the community.
Dr. Gennifer Miller took questions for about an hour from parents, students, staff, and community members in the cafeteria of Nandua High School last night.
The family-style chat session gave people a chance to get to know Miller while she listened to their to concerns.
Some of the hot topics discussed included: special education services, raising the bar in curriculum and instruction, and staffing concerns.
Miller says her top three goals are getting all schools accredited, unifying the district, and increasing parent engagement.
The next Meet and Greet with Superintendent Miller is on July 17th at Arcadia High School from 6 to 7pm.
