Accomack reports one additional COVID test positive; state revises probable case number down 260

Accomack County reported one additional COVID-19 test positive Monday morning. All other COVID-19 metrics were unchanged. The Eastern Shore’s test positivity rate has now fallen to seven day average of 6.6%.

Accomack County has now given 13,324 residents have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 10,985 have been fully vaccinated. In Northampton, 6,363 have been given the first shot and 5,347 have been given both.

Virginia reported 597 additional COVID-19 test positives Monday morning, but probably cases were revised downward by 261.

The Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association reports current COVID-19 hospitalizations fell by 23 to 606 statewide.

14 additional COVID-19 deaths were reported Monday morning, but probably COVID-19 deaths were revised downward by 7.
