According to Sheriff Todd E. Godwin at approximately 1:42 AM on December 13, 2019 the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office received a report of shots fired on Jacob St. in Onancock, Virginia. Upon deputies arrival they discovered a male subject lying in the living room floor suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim later died from his injuries.
The body has been transported to the medical examiner’s office in Norfolk. An investigation into this incident is ongoing.
The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Onancock Police Department and Onancock Fire and Rescue.
