According to Sheriff W. Todd Wessells, on January 21, 2026, at approximately 5:38 a.m., the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office executed a residential search warrant in the 18000 block of Airport Drive in Melfa, Virginia. The search was conducted as part of an investigation into the possession and distribution of controlled substances.
As a result, Terique Denovis McCloud, 26, of Melfa, Virginia, was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I or Schedule II controlled substance. McCloud is currently incarcerated at the Accomack County Jail, where bail has been denied.
The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Virginia State Police and the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office.
