The Accomack County Board of Supervisors will vote tonight on the FY2019-20 budget at their regular monthly meeting.  The budget drew no opposition in the scheduled public hearing on March 11.

While providing raises for all county employees, no tax increases are anticipated.

The priorities are to keep property tax rates at or below their current levels; enable a quick recovery time for county government services in case of a catastrophic event such as a major hurricane; to continue to attract and retain a high-performing workforce; to maintain the County’s investment in its infrastructure and prepare for capital replacement; to maintain or improve customer service and employee/customer safety; to continue to strengthen the Rainy Day Fund to match a “best practice” level; and to honor contractual, agreements and mandates.

The Supervisors will meet at the county office building at 5 p.m.
