Accomack Board extends deadlines for real estate valuation appeals

The Accomack County Board of Supervisors voted to re-adopt an ordinance extending deadlines associated with real estate valuation appeals.  County Administrator Mike Mason told the Board that the second extension  is necessary due to allow time for valuation appeals to be considered and acted upon. The 2022 assessments came in higher due to the pandemic related real estate boom.  There have been more than the average number of assessment appeals.
