A winning lottery ticket bought on the Eastern Shore and worth $50,000 remains unclaimed and is set to expire.
By law, winning tickets in Virginia expire 180 days after the drawing. The Virginia Lottery is putting one last call out for the winners to come forward before their tickets expire on Monday, July 2. There are three tickets state officials say have not been claimed.
One ticket was sold in Virginia Beach, another in Onley and the third was sold in Charlottesville. Here is the winning ticket information.
A $50,000 winning ticket was purchased for the January 2 Powerball drawing at Royal Farms in Onley. The ticket expires at 5 p.m. Monday July 2. The winning numbers are 2-18-37-39-42, The ticket matched four of the first five numbers plus the Powerball number.
