A few of WESR’s listeners sent us their pictures of Monday morning’s Blood Wolf Super moon.

So called because Native Americans historically called January’s full moon the Wolf Moon, a super moon because the moon is currently at its closest point to earth, and a blood moon because of Monday morning’s lunar eclipse, which blocks the sun’s rays and gives the moon a copperish glow.

The next lunar eclipse will be in May of 2022.

Enjoy!
