Eighteen people were indicted Monday by an Accomack Grand Jury on felony charges that included extortion, theft, sex offenses, burglary, unlawful wounding, fraud, and assaulting police officers.
Thirty-eight-year-old Cardell Thomas Mason Jr., of Boggs Road in Painter, was indicted on two Oct. 11, 2024, counts of armed burglary at night at the home of Gracie Milbourne, two counts of robbing her at gunpoint, and use of a firearm in the commission of a robbery.
The Saxis Road victim was awakened by a bang at the rear door of her residence at nearly 10:30 p.m. that night, according to court records. She observed her bedroom door open as an uninvited man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and face covering entered. He was wielding “a long-barreled firearm” and pointed it at her. She saw another man rummaging through her residence. After robbing her, they left the residence with her cell phone to prevent her from calling for help.
Forty-two-year-old Almount Gunter, of Cutler’s Court Road in New Church, was indicted on a March 24 count of grand larceny of tools and building materials belonging to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital valued at more than $1,000. Gunter told police that he was planning on returning the tools and only took materials he believed to be scrap, the court documents showed.
Forty-one-year-old Tyshan Elizabeth Jackson, of Lindsay Drive in New Church, was indicted on a Jan. 2 count of stealing money orders valued at more than $1,000 belonging to Cynthia Northan. She was arrested Jan. 30.
Twenty-two-year-old Christopher Warner, of Central Avenue in Pocomoke City, Md.,
was indicted on a count of threatening in writing to kill or injure Alexander Hubb, causing the victim to fear for his life. The crime allegedly occurred between Jan. 20 and 21. He was arrested on March 31.
Twenty-year-old Matthew Thomas, of Hopkins Road in Parksley, was indicted on a count of computer solicitation of a minor, who he believed to be seven or more years younger than him, between Feb. 3 and March 7.
According to court records, Thomas told police he believed he was communicating with a 12-year-old and went to the Eastern Shore Public Library intending to have sex with her, court records stated. Thomas told officers, “he wants to change for the better and needs help.”
Authorities previously said the incident involved a vigilante group that lured the suspect to the library by posing as fictitious prey.
Twenty-year-old Jordan Lee Padgett, of Holly Ridge Road in Melfa, was indicted as a person diagnosed with a sexually transmitted infection who engaged in activity that posed a substantial risk of transmitting it to another person on May 6. He was arrested six days later.
Twenty-two-year-old Jaheem Hassan Snead, of Shawnee Avenue in Salisbury, Md., was indicted on an April 21 count of wearing a mask to conceal his identity.
Forty-year-old Sebastian Baltazar Baltazar, of Sanna Square in Bloxom, was indicted on counts of attempted unlawful wounding and two counts of destruction of more than $1,000 worth of property on April 14. He is accused of attempting to wound of Henry Vasquez Perez with a machete and destroying property belonging to Bryan Lopez Castellanos valued at $1,000 or more.
Thirty-five-year-old Curtis Nock Jr., of Brook Lane in Melfa, was indicted on a count of unlawful wounding of Cory Ames at a house on Killmontown Road near Melfa on May 24. He was arrested four days later.
Thirty-three-year-old Jahquan Ezekiel Meekins, also known as Glenn Lordjahquan E.C. Wallace, of North 35th Street in Richmond, was indicted on May 14 counts of receiving a stolen firearm or aiding in concealing a gun, and possession of a weapon by a felon
Thirty-eight-year-old Mark Dulaney Wheatley, of Hopeton Road in Parksley, was indicted on counts of being a prisoner in possession of a cell phone between May 23 and June 3, and possessing methamphetamine on May 22.
Twenty-two-year-old Thomas Tyyalye Johnson, of Wise Court in Accomac, was indicted on a count of assaulting Deputy G. Killmon on May 23.
Forty-eight-year-old Charles Dise, of Main Ridge Road on Tangier Island, was indicted on counts of assaulting Michael Parks of the Tangier Fire Department and EMS responder Olivia Pruitt on Jan. 2. He was arrested on Jan 13.
Twenty-seven-year-old Vivian Drummond, of Church Street in Onancock, was indicted on a June 4 count of assaulting Officer U. Bailey of the Onancock Police Department. Records state the officer was allegedly kicked while trying to arrest Drummond.
Twenty-seven-year-old Jontae Lamar Gaskins, of Mini Road in Accomac, was indicted on a count of forging a public record between May 9 and 29 to falsely show that he had made a restitution payment. He was arrested on June 4.
Twenty-year-old Keeshaen Jamar Northan Jr., of Germain Lane in Parksley, was indicted on a count of conspiracy to commit credit card fraud on May 6.
Monica Riley, of Oakland Drive in Exmore, was indicted on two Sept. 13, 2024, counts of assaulting Trooper P. Zarola of the state police and Lt. J. Gonzalez of the Exmore Police Department.
Raymond Michael Long II, of Occohannock Neck Road in Exmore, was indicted on March 11 counts of malicious wounding of a child under the age of 18 and abuse and neglect of the child to show total disregard of human life.
All of those indicted are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
