$20,000 in goods delivered to western NC for Helene relief

A relief drive headed up by former Wachapreague Mayor Fred Janci, Vernon Bell and the Powellton Presbyterian Church has just sent approximately $20,000 in goods to western North Carolina to aid in Hurricane Helene recovery efforts.

Janci and his wife headed to North Carolina with the items in tow Wednesday afternoon.

Janci extended special thanks to all who participated in the effort.
