Ruritan Raffle Supports Scholarships, Ramps
Through generous donations by artists such as David Turner and Thelma Peterson as well as other individuals and businesses, the Pungoteague Ruritan Club is holding a raffle to raise funds for scholarships to local students and wheelchair ramps for low income families.
The raffle includes a Turner Blue Crab sculpture, two Thelma Peterson prints of Pete Peterson’s green-winged teal that were part of Ducks Unlimited’s “Flyway Art Program,” a hand carved pen and pencil set by Doug Wehner made from exotic African wood, a handmade quilt and a Penn rod and reel combo donated by Sea Hawk Sports Center and Steve’s Bait and Tackle.
The winners will be announced at the 20th annual Bayside Poker Run on July 25.
For tickets, see any member of the Pungoteague Ruritan Club, including Paul Custis, Sam and Jean Sellad, Doug and Carol Wehner and Bill Sterling.
