Lambda Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International Scholarships

Lambda Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, a professional organization of women educators, is offering four grants-in-aid to female high school seniors, college undergraduates, or graduate students from Accomack and Northampton Counties who intend to pursue a career in the field of education.  

The four grants-in-aid are:

1.  The $500.00 Elizabeth Jones Newton Grant-in-Aid is available to a resident of Accomack or Northampton County.
2. The $4,000.00 Elizabeth Payne Miles Grant-in-Aid is offered to a resident of Accomack County. 
3. The $4,000.00 Burylss Bruce Payne Grant-in-Aid is offered to a resident of Northampton County.
4. The $3,000.00 Eva Wessels Payne Grant-in-Aid is offered to a resident of either Accomack County or Northampton County.

Each person who applies for one of these grants-in-aid is also eligible for consideration for each of the three grants-in-aid available to a resident of her county.  Only one application is needed.

Applications must be received or postmarked by April 18, 2025.  Only applications completed in full will be considered.  Applicants may see their respective high school guidance counselors for application forms or contact Norma Jones at 757-442-7796.
