November 4, 2025 General and Special Elections
IMPORTANT ELECTION INFORMATION AND VOTING DATES
This is an official notice of the upcoming election to be conducted in the Commonwealth of Virginia on Tuesday,
November 4, 2025 for the purpose of selecting a candidate for the offices of Governor, Lieutenant Governor,
Attorney General, and Member, Virginia House of Delegates, 100th District. There will also be a special
election for the mayoral race for the town of Accomac.
All Voters are asked to provide a valid ID at the time of voting or they will be asked to sign an ID Confirmation Statement to
vote a regular ballot.
• Curbside assistance is available at all voting locations during Early Voting and on Election Day
• A Ballot Drop Box for Absentee Ballots is available outside the Voter Registration and Elections Office and is under
constant video surveillance for security purposes. Polling Places are also ballot drop off locations on Election Day
• Same Day Registration – SDR – is a provisional method of voting and is available from 10/25/25 through Election
Day, 11/4/25 (SDR is not available on Monday 11/03/2025). Voters must provide proof of residency at the time of
Same Day Registration.
September 19, 2025 First Day of In-Person Early Voting at Voter Registration Office from 8:30 AM to 5 PM
October 13, 2025 Office Closed in Observance of Columbus/Indigenous People’s Day
October 24, 2025 Deadline to Register to Vote or Update Registration (Voters may register
after this date starting 10/25 and vote using a provisional ballot/SDR)
October 24, 2025 Deadline to request to receive an absentee ballot by mail. Requests must be received in the
Voter Registration Office by 5 PM.
October 25, 2025 First Day of In-Person Saturday Voting from 8:30 AM to 5 PM
November 1, 2025 Second Saturday and Last Day to Vote Early In-Person 8:30 AM to 5 PM
November 4, 2025 Election Day at Your Local Polling Place Only from 6 AM to 7 PM(Voters cannot early vote at the Registrar’s office)
