Complete Thanksgiving Dinner Raffle

The Diane E. Ames Scholarship Fundraiser, featuring a Complete Thanksgiving Dinner to serve twenty (20) people. The meal will be prepared by licensed caterers, My Brothers and Sisters Keeper, LLC. The menu will include Roasted Turkey and Baked Ham, Dressing with Gravy, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes, Candied Yams, Macaroni and Cheese, Turnip Greens, Rolls, Cake, and Iced Tea.

The raffle drawing will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, and the prepared meal will be delivered on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Food delivery will be available Cape Charles to Princess Anne, MD or pick-up in Melfa, VA. For winners located beyond this distance, a convenient meeting location will be arranged. Tickets are $25.00 each or 5 tickets for $100.00. 

The Diane E. Ames Scholarship Fund was established in 2024, following the passing of Ms. Diane E. Ames, to provide financial support to a graduating senior from Nandua High School and an enrolled student at the Eastern Shore Community College. This scholarship honors the remarkable legacy of Ms. Ames, a passionate educator and lifelong advocate for learning, she aspire students to pursue careers in business and education. The recipient of this award will embody Ms. Ames’s spirit, leadership, and dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

For more than 37 years, Ms. Diane Eloise Ames served as a devoted business educator in the Accomack County Public Schools and at Eastern Shore Community College. Her influence extended far beyond the classroom, she was a mentor, role model, and tireless advocate for her students’ success. Through her leadership in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Ms. Ames cultivated a culture of excellence, professionalism, and community service that continues to inspire new generations.
