Be Well Block Party 2026
Join us for a day of health, wellness, and community fun at the Be Well Block Party! This exciting event is designed to bring our community together and provide valuable health services, education, and activities for all ages.

We are thrilled to invite you to a fun and informative morning dedicated to promoting health and wellness in our community. This free event is open to everyone, so bring your family and friends!
Event highlights include:
- A total of 51 organizations participating.
- Chef Shannon Andes with Bread and Butter in Onancock will do a food demonstration and prepare a healthy meal
- Blood pressure screenings by Eastern Shore Community College
- A1c through partnership with Old Dominion University and Eastern Virginia Medical School
- Vision screenings through Cape Charles Lions Club
- Breast Exams by Virginia Department of Health and many more

- Eastern Shore Cruisers Car Show
- Live speakers, and “active lifestyle” performances – Eastern Shore Family YMCA cheerleading, Zumba & healthy eating trivia courtesy of Virginia Community Healthcare Association
We will also have:
- Don Valerios food truck will be serving breakfast and lunch
- Music by DJ Bill LeCato
- Dunking booth with proceeds going to Onley Skimmers swim team
- Frequent giveaways throughout the day with grand prize of a wellness baskets and bicycles
- Mental health wellness information through Rural Health and Veteran Affairs office
- Other activities such as the Chincoteague Bay Field Station with sea creatures, ANEC utility equipment, fire safety, Accomack County Public Schools Book Mobile, financial planning & maintaining health credit with Atlantic Union Bank, DARE program simulators, Eastern Shore Area on Aging with information on senior support services and face painting…
