An Afternoon at Bowman’s Folly
Spend an autumn afternoon at one of the Eastern Shore’s most remarkable historic homes as Shore History presents an engaging lecture on General John Cropper—Revolutionary War hero, military leader, statesman, and the man who called Bowman’s Folly home. Historians Dennis Custis and Dr. David Scott will share the fascinating story of Cropper’s extraordinary life. Prior to the lectures on the lawn, the Eastern Shore of Virginia Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will dedicate and unveil a DAR marker at the grave site of General Cropper. The marker, given by a DAR member and descendent of General Cropper, recognizes and honors his service and sacrifices during the American Revolution. Bring a lawn chair, A $10 donation requested
