Early dismissals for severe weather Wednesday

Due to expected high winds and worsening weather conditions throughout the day, Accomack County Public Schools will dismiss 2 hours early today for all students. All after school activities are cancelled.

Northampton County Public Schools. Due to expected high winds and worsening weather conditions throughout the day, all students will have a two-hour early dismissal today. QUEST Program will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m. High School/Middle School will be dismissed at 12:45 p.m. Elementary Schools will be dismissed at 1:45 p.m.  All after-school activities are canceled.

Head Start in both Accomack and Northampton County will have early dismissal at 1:00, Wednesday, March 5, 2025 due to the severe storms and high winds predicted for this afternoon. We apologize for any inconvenience but we must take precautions to keep the children and staff safe during their bus rides home.

Broadwater Academy will have no after school activities and no extended care.

The Great Machipongo Clam Shack in Nassawadox closing at 3 PM today. First Wednesday is also cancelled.

STAR TRANSIT WILL BE CLOSING EARLY DUE TO IMPENDING STORM. THE LAST RUN WILL BE AT 2:30 PM

Accomack County Circuit Court will close at 2:30 PM.

Northampton County Circuit Court will close at 2:30 PM.

Dos Santos Thrift and Food Pantry is closing today at 2 pm due to high winds.

Historic Onancock School’s March Wine Wednesday has been cancelled due to weather. The safety of our tenants and guests is always a priority. Look for a rescheduling soon!

Due to severe weather conditions expected this afternoon, the Northampton County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meeting scheduled for tonight, March 5, has been canceled. The meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 12, at 5:00 PM.
