Northampton County Public Schools will open 2 hours late Tuesday January 21 due to cold temperatures and wind chills. Wind chills of 5 degrees are expected. These pose an extreme threat hypothermia and frostbite to exposed skin. Please dress appropriately. All staff will report one hour late. All classes will dismiss at the regular time. After school and evening events will continue as scheduled.
Due to a facility issue, there will be no school today, Tuesday, January 21st at Chincoteague Elementary school. It will be a virtual day of instruction. No staff is to report to the building.
Due to the impending weather, the Foodbank’s mobile pantries for Saxis and Exmore scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22, will be postponed until next Wednesday, January 29.
After school activities for Northampton County Public Schools have been canceled for tonight.
Due to the upcoming weather and a Winter Weather Advisory, Northampton County Parks & Recreation will be CANCELING practice for Tuesday, January 21, 2025. We will keep you posted tomorrow afternoon regarding practice & make-up game plans for Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Eastern Shore Community College will open 2 hours late at 10am on Wednesday morning, January 22. Road conditions will be assessed in the morning to determine any further updates.
