Closings, openings and delays for Thursday 1/9

Northampton County Schools will be running on their regular schedule Thursday. 1/9.

Accomack County Schools: There will be a two hour delay tomorrow, Thursday, January 9th for all students and 10 month staff. Also, all afterschool activities will be canceled. 12 month staff will report on time.

Hare Valley Head Start in Northampton County will be operating on their regular schedule time, Thursday, January 9. Accomack Head Start centers are operating on a two hour delay, Thursday, January 9. Please contact your child’s family services worker if you have questions.

The Accomack County School Board Organization Meeting previously described as a Work Session at Kegotank Elementary starting at 6:30 PM has been rescheduled from January 7 to January 14, due to school closures and inclement weather.  

All athletic events at Broadwater Academy are canceled tonight.

Trash collection for the Town of Melfa for Jan 9th 2025 will be postponed until further notice. Will update with new collection date when available. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you Town Council.

The Foodbank’s Mobile Pantry at Bayview Heritage scheduled for Saturday, January 11 is cancelled due to the impending inclement weather. The next Mobile Pantry will be held on Tuesday, January 14 at Northampton County Parks and Recreation from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Dos Santos Food Bank and Thrift Shop Store will be closed Saturday, January 11.
