Closings for Monday, January 6, 2025

Perdue in Accomac is closed today.

Star Transit starting routes at 10 a.m.

Due to the impending storm and winter storm warning, today, Monday, January 6 will be a virtual day for all students and 10 month staff. All Accomack County Public school facilities will be closed today.  Twelve-month employees will not report. For those of you who can, please work virtually from home. Essential personnel will be notified once the snow has stopped concerning snow removal.

All Northampton County schools and buildings will be closed on Monday due to poor road conditions from snow and ice. All activities and events on Monday are canceled. Monday is not a virtual learning day.

Broadwater Academy will be closed on Monday.

Head Start in both Accomack and Northampton County will be closed on Monday, January 6, due to poor road conditions from the predicted snow and ice. We will provide updates for Tuesday. Please stay safe.

Eastern Shore Community College will open Monday from 12pm-5pm on campus in Melfa. Updates will be issued as needed. The payment deadline for spring classes is Monday, January 6. The Business Office will be open from 12:00 noon – 5:00 PM to accept in-person payments. Online payments may also be made until 11:59 PM tomorrow.

Food distribution at the Bloxom Food Pantry (25585 Shoremain Drive) is POSTPONED to Monday, January 13 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Northampton Circuit Court and Clerk’s Office will be closed Monday, January 6th, 2025 due to inclement weather.

Shore Christian Academy will be closed Monday January 6th, 2025 due to incumbent weather

All Accomack County facilities including the Northern landfill, South transfer station and convenience centers will be closed today, Monday, January 6, 2025. Please check the County website for updates.

District 4 Adult Probation and Parole in Accomac will open at 11 a.m.

PenFed Credit Union in Exmore will be opening at 11:00am today.

The Eastern Shore CSB will be closed on Monday, Jan 6th.

Accomack County Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court closed today.

Accomack General District Court closed today.

Eastern Shore Rural Health is opening at 10 a.m. Monday Jan. 6 due to inclement weather. Patients with appointments scheduled for today before 10 a.m. are asked to call to reschedule. Atlantic Community Health Center will NOT have a late night this evening – the center will close at 5 p.m. Atlantic Community Pharmacy will close at 5 p.m. as well. Express Care will close at 6 p.m. this evening due to inclement weather.

Town of Parksley office and DMV will be closed today.

Town of Onancock office will open two hours late today.

Eastern Shore Foot Center Dr. Wayne Chin’s office will. be open at 10 a.m.

H&R Block offices in Belle Haven and Onley are closed

2A District Court Service Units in Accomac and Eastville closed today

The Boys and Girls Club of the Eastern Shore of Virginia closed today.

Eastern Shore Regional Library & Heritage Center and Northampton Free Library closed.

Update- the District 4 Probation and Parole office in Accomac is closed today. Officers can be reached on their cell phones if needed. 

Due to Somerset and North Accomack landfills being closed,  Davis Disposal is not able to complete trash collection today. Any missed stops will have trash collection Tuesday.

Onley Pre-School opening at 10 AM.

Accomack County Circuit Court will not be held today. The Accomack County Clerks office will be closed.
